The publication of the EU Batteries Regulation in 2023 marked a new era for the industry, as for the first time the entire life cycle of batteries is being regulated.

The Regulation applies to all battery types, including portable batteries, electric vehicle batteries, industrial batteries, SLI batteries and batteries for light means of transport (e.g. electric bikes, e-mopeds, e-scooters).
This workshop will focus on the how the Regulation is being implemented across the EU and will highlight key developments on the 32 Delegated and 15 Implementing Acts, describing requirements concerning recycled content, carbon footprint, performance and durability, end-of-life management, and labelling.
