Bio
Currently a Vice President at Ricardo Strategic Consulting, Angela’s 25 year+ career has spanned both technical and strategic roles in the automotive and industrial sectors.
For the majority of this time she has focused on helping global customers (including major automakers, tier suppliers, fuel & energy players, industry associations, and tech start-ups) understand technical, environmental, and business opportunities and challenges surrounding the transition to low / zero carbon solutions.
She has a particular interest and expertise in futures research, technology roadmapping and technology strategy.
Prior to joining Ricardo, Angela worked for Perkins and BOC Edwards. Academically, Angela is a graduate in mechanical engineering (University of Warwick). She also holds a graduate diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Complementing her position at RSC, Angela is also a board member of Zemo Partnership (formerly LowCVP) an independent non-profit partnership bringing government, industry and experts together with one ultimate aim – to accelerate transport to zero emissions.
This paper explores the future for low voltage lead based batteries in automotive M1 and N1 applications. It reviews European light duty vehicle market evolution and future vehicle-level technologies, architectures and strategies influencing low voltage systems, battery requirements and the role that lead based batteries have to play.
