The vehicle market is in the throes of a seismic shift in the powertrains used in cars and light vans as EVs, PHEVs and HEVs are adopted in preferentially to meet targets for decarbonisation of the vehicle fleet. This is resulting in major changes in battery requirements which will be described in this workshop. This brief presentation will summarise the changes that are forecast for the car industry in the next several years to set the scene.

Bio
Geoffrey May has had a long career in the battery industry and for a number of years has been providing consultancy services to many companies and organisations for technology, business development and dispute resolution.
